Yayoiken – やよい軒

Off Base Lifehacker

My salary is so low that I rarely go out to eat. However, there are some restaurants with excellent cost performance that even I occasionally eat out at. Today I would like to introduce one of them, Yayoiken.

The location is close to the main gate and Womble Gate, and is on the way to Yokosuka Chuo Station.

You can easily switch to English at the ticket vending machine by pressing the language switch button on the top right.

Well, it’s better to look the English menu at in advance and decide what you want to eat. This is because there are some menu items that only Japanese people eat.

Whitebait and Grated Daikon Breakfast Teishoku(390 yen) with Natto(100 yen)

By the way, since I used the January app coupon, the natto was actually 50 yen.

More than 10 years ago, when I was eating this kind of food that almost only Japanese people eat at Matsuya on the Blue Line, I was photographed by American soldiers who were there.

It probably didn’t look like human food to them.

Adding pickled daikon radish gives it a slightly different impression and makes it delicious.

Thanks for the meal.

However, even after eating, Yayoi-ken still has a secret left behind. If you don’t enjoy it, you will have only enjoyed 50% of Yayoiken’s charm. The remaining half is the stock.

The bonito soup stock is kept warm in this pot. Please eat this over rice.

I hope that you will fully enjoy the charm of Yayoiken.

On July 5, 2024, the link to the English menu had been broken and was fixed.
